"When you come alongside your wife and help her in a sacrificial way, there's a huge payoff in that." ~ Not always. I'm a disabled combat veteran and I told my Sarah I am happy to do the cooking, the cleaning, whatever, because she was the one working outside the home. I wanted to make sure she had a comfortable place, a clean place, to come home to every single day, and I didn't want to be the lazy one not doing anything. I showed her affection as often as she would allow me to. If she asked me to do something, I was either Johnny-on-the-spot with it or I told her I would need a few minutes before I could get to it. I always supposed Sarah's activities, because they were always Church or friend-based, and we had good friends. I was a good Husband, until the last day we were together and, somehow, what she never spoke to me about were her problems with me or with our marriage, and her nattering me to death about stupid crap, came to a head and both of us lost it. Satan came into our home and, now, I'm living on my own, praying day and night, studying the scriptures, leaving my hands-off because the Spirit told me to, for marriage restoration. I know God will, no but's. However, once we're back together we've got a lot of work to do, especially in communication. It would be awfully nice if God would find one or more people to speak into our lives and help us realize marriage does not have to die and that what we had, up until that last day, was an amazing marriage! I have nearly sixty gigs of images, videos, Christmas files, letters, and a bunch of stuff not on the computer that says we had an amazing marriage, except for the communication. I want my Sarah back so badly, and God has been working on me for eight months, now, but I will not be alone, forever. Amen.

My mom stayed married to my dad for 22 years. Domestic violence situation. No affection whatsoever. My mom told me as a kid she stopped loving my dad after 5 years and was only staying with him for financial security. I'm hoping these videos show me what a marriage is because I didn't see a real marriage ever growing up

Ok question, i dont get a man " needing sex". Is that just a man thing and obv i wont understand because im a woman. Im so disinterested in sex, i dont need it in my marriage. (Side note : going thru perimenopause, so who knows if thats part of it.). I love my husband but sex is just not that important to me. I feel because ive bern married now 8 years, i already know what its like and am bored. Im hoping someone out there can help me get a handle on this with a Christian biblical answer

I remember when my unfaithful wife had suggested a healing separation. What a joke. I believed then, as I still do, all she wanted was a vacation from dealing with the difficulties of her adultery. I saw absolutely no reason to get a separation and instead moved to divorce. You can still date again after divorce, you can still marry each other again after a divorce. You don't have any less options. "But marriage is sacred" yeah, don't tell me, tell her.

If my wife tells me she loves me and wants to be with me, but she sleeps with her dogs when I told her before marriage neither dogs nor children sleep on the marriage bed, and tells me to sleep on the couch if I don't want to sleep with the dogs, then she doesn't care about me, and is prioritizing her dogs over her husband. Sin.

I love this so much and all of the other teachings. My marriage is hanging by a thread and my wife’s mother took her and my baby away. No christian churches or counseling where I live believe this or say these things. I feel I have no help to go to. My wife’s family is all about independence and came against me and it’s a support group of division , different Christian values. They are saying it’s good for a marriage to take breaks. I wish we could actually sit with Pastor Jimmy. I want my family back.😢

Oh, and at 69 years old, she claims she is "too old;" the pisser is I am not. And for all the things I do for her, I get "Zero Return on Investment."
